Southern Illinois

All of these pictures were taken at Horseshoe Lake, Alexander County, Illinois. I got to go here on a field trip with my wildlife biology class. It looked like we were in Louisiana with all the bald cypress trees!

Always enjoy your scenics. Very similar to rivers around here in VA with the cypress.

At first I thought it was a swamp.
Lovely pictures and diversity of vegetation. Must have been a great trip.
