The "Phantom Ship"

You could take a tour around Crater Lake in the boats that you see above, if you wanted to.

This is where my family and I went on vacation this past summer. We spent 2 weeks exploring Oregon and Washington. Crater Lake was probably the most beautiful part of the whole entire trip. The deep blue color of the water you see in the pictures is what it really looks like, if not even darker. Crater Lake is 1,943 ft deep at its deepest point, making it the 7th deepest lake in the world and the deepest lake in the US.

Mellow Yellow Monday-Belize

This is just one of the many beautiful sunsets that we saw on South Water Caye, Belize! That's an osprey perched on the top of the tree in the second picture. This island was basically our own for an entire week!

Great Horned Owl

These pictures are from Sapelo Island, Georgia, which is a barrier island north of Cumberland Island National Seashore. We saw this Great Horned Owl standing in the middle of the road and when we got closer we realized that something was wrong with it because it just started hopping away instead of flying. So my professor and his grad student went after it and caught it. We took it back to the UGA marine institute so somebody could hopefully rehab it. We heard about a month later that it had made a full recovery and was released!!
